 FAQ

Want to know if an overseas internship is right for you?
Have a look through some of the commonly asked questions:

Are Swinburne's Overseas Internships paid?
No. Swinburne's Overseas Internship programs are unpaid. You will need to pay the associated program fee for the program so that our third party provider can arrange your role, accommodation (if preferred) and other inclusions in the program. There are a number of funding opportunities for eligible students that may be able to assist you with the cost of the program.
I'm ready and excited- can I apply now?
You'll need to attend or watch one of our information sessions first, before you can apply. The session covers really important information about the program commitment and details and will help you determine if the program is the right fit. After you have watched the sessions and know what to expect, you can apply by clicking on the individual programs on our website.
How soon will I find out what kind of role and company I'll get to work for?
Each program varies, however most programs won't be able to confirm your exact placement until quite close to your start date. You'll need to be open and flexible with this.
In the past students have worked for international companies all the way through to local firms and exciting start-ups.
